The Book on Periods – Call for Submissions
Once Upon a Time of the Month
In partnership with Joni a brand that makes organic bamboo pads and organic cotton tampons, we launched a campaign with the aim to shift the narrative around periods from stigmatized to celebrated by amplifying the voices of menstruators. Through an integrated approach, the initiative launched with a call for personal stories and will culminate in the release of a book featuring these accounts, alongside art and historical context. The first phase successfully highlighted issues like period stigma, poverty, and menstrual equity, framing them as human rights concerns. Now, with anticipation building for the book’s release, Joni continues to champion global period literacy and equity.
