Support Iran – Social First Toolkit

Overview
Since September 2022, the people of Iran have been protesting for women’s access to fundamental human rights. A direct response to the death of 22-year-old Jina “Mahsa” Amini. While it is hard to offer direct support, AntiSocial Solutions – a creative collective who stand in solidarity with the brave, defiant women and people of Iran – decided it was imperative that we use our resources, time, and creative skill sets to help amplify their message. We created a social toolkit, accessible to all, developed with a social-first lens, and designed to be shared. The toolkit is accessed through a dedicated microsite intended as a resource to educate people about what is really happening in Iran.
Campaign Concept
The development of the toolkit was centered around three overarching calls to action. Listen – Hear Them. Learn – Say Their Names. Share – Amplify Their Voices. With all assets rooted in the rallying cry of the revolution – Women. Life. Freedom. All elements were thoughtfully designed around these calls to action – with custom iconography built to emphasize each pillar visually – Listen, Learn, Share. Each aspect of the toolkit – carefully developed using this system – acts as a vehicle to amplify the voices of the Iranian protesters. The kit includes multiple social in-feed posts, stories, stickers, highlight covers, profile picture overlays, and cover photos.
Impact
Social media has been at the heart of some of the world’s biggest protests, inciting global movements like Black Lives Matter and Stop Asian Hate. The power of social is undeniable – we hope that this open-source kit can be used as a tool to drive positive change and aid Iranian protesters in their fight for freedom.
